We provide early-stage architectural and conservation support, guiding projects from initial briefing and feasibility through to concept design and a clear planning strategy. This includes developing proposals that respond sensitively to their historic and physical context, coordinating heritage and technical information, and preparing, managing, and submitting planning and listed building consent applications.
A key part of the value we offer our clients is clear and meaningful engagement throughout this process. Moving beyond traditional 2D design, our use of BIM and 3D CAD modelling allows clients to fully understand and interact with their project as it develops. This creates a more intuitive and collaborative experience, enabling informed decisions to be made early and ensuring the design evolves in line with the client’s vision to achieve the best possible outcome.
Our approach is both strategic and collaborative. We work closely with clients to define a clear direction early on, while engaging constructively with local planning authorities and statutory consultees where appropriate.
We have a strong track record of securing approvals across a wide range of projects, including sensitive heritage and conservation schemes. This experience allows us to navigate the planning process with confidence, understanding how to present proposals in a way that aligns with policy while still meeting the client’s ambitions.
We develop coordinated, data-rich BIM models with planning approval in mind from the outset, ensuring proposals are robust, well-considered, and capable of being delivered. By embedding this level of information early, the same model can be efficiently carried forward into Building Regulations, discharge of conditions, and detailed construction information, reducing ambiguity, improving cost certainty, and creating a smoother transition from planning to delivery.
