Following the successful completion of the Lincoln Castle Revealed project, the castle reopened April 2015 in order to coincide with the 800th anniversary of the signing of Magna Carta, which is displayed within a new exhibition centre at the castle which we designed.
There followed a series of smaller projects in order to further enhance the castle, which included a ticketing hut at the West Gate to compliment the main ticketing office, landscape works, including resurfacing paths and driveways within the castle, a new lighting scheme to highlight key features both internally and externally, and creating access to an Undercroft in order to view archaeology that had been uncovered during the build process for Magna Carta and a timber framed building to act as a maintenance workshop and store. All these were successfully completed in March 2019. The Practice has also been retained to advise on ongoing conservation and maintenance within the Castle.
