The Cottages, Baschurch

The Cottages is a detached private residence consisting of a slate tiled roof and of solid local sandstone and masonry construction. The scheme consisted of repairs to the existing dwelling and a new extension to rationalise the kitchen and dining space. The proposed extension utilised high quality building materials which included a lead covered overhang (to limit overheating from passive solar gains) ,aluminium windows, doors and rooflights and locally sourced larch.
