Beeston Castle

Beeston Castle, a Scheduled Monument, is an important red sandstone medieval fortress in the guardianship of English Heritage. Arrol Architects redesigned and reorganised the existing nineteenth-century gatehouse and museum. As well as the restoration of existing fabric and the improvement of the display and exhibition area, Arrol Architects designed and oversaw the construction of a new ticket office, gift shop and small museum and provided disabled access into the site.
