Sheinwood Cornmill

Sheinwood Corn Mill is a late 18th century Grade II listed three-storey brick building. It used to be part of Sheinwood Manor and it stands in two acres of land in the Shropshire countryside.

In 2000 it was carefully repaired and converted into a five-bedroom house on three floors, with the retention of the original attic stairs and the introduction of a new staircase. A sympathetic small tower extension, with a double jettied roof, was built to accommodate the new staircase and it was clad in horizontal oak boards. New fenestration was designed throughout and the important historic mill machinery, the exposed axle and wheel gear, was retained and repaired. A new jetty/pier was also designed over the mill forebay to create a new outdoor space serving the kitchen and the tower extension.
